Well she is very good at coaching the game of Basketball, so there's that.
And she doesn't know what a ball fake is.
The final stretch of both halves were a disaster.
I think it's because she knows basketball.
So does women’s basketball become irrelevant again now that Clark is done. Half empty arenas, not much TV time?
Margin of error was perfection, we played one perfect quarter.

That’s fair. They played a lot of minutes.
Not totally but the game has to evolve quickly. If it goes back to who has the tallest girls that can rebound the the most missed layups, then yes.
While it is yet to be seen if it stays at this rarified high, I think Clark’s legacy is that there is a new higher baseline of interest in the women’s game

It will if there isn't more parity. If UCONN and South Carolina just stock pile the top talent to the degree that others can't compete then I think there could be a decline in interest. Also if there isn't a guard game. Watching bigs dominate isn't a lot of fun. There are some interesting players that could drive the sport forward.
Have to wonder if Clark just lost her legs toward the end. She was missing badly, not just on threes, but in the lane as well, coming up short.

Exactly. We lost the game but CC and Iowa have won the war imo. Just look at how many players, coaches, and legends within the game have done everything they could to discredit Clark and Iowa and that’s your proof right there. Not to mention all the excitement and joy they’ve brought to countless fans. Caitlin could have won 2 or 3 NCs and it still wouldn’t be enough for some people.
Down the road the average fan will remember the impact CC and Iowa had on the game and the teams they lost to in the NC will be an after thought, at least they will be for me. And I don’t mean it as a slight at LSU or SC. Sold out arenas and viewership says it all in this case though. Unprecedented is what Clark has done for women’s basketball.
I feel so bummed right now. Iowa totally could have won that game.

But with all the things in SC's favor, the Hawks would have had to played 4 perfect quarters instead of just the one they ended up with.
Women’s basketball has had plenty of strange officiated games. While I really hated what they were calling on boxing out body fouls, it was a somewhat even called game. Carolina had the depth to risk foul trouble and they were called for the obvious stuff. It did seem like there were three andones they decided to go no call on, yet weren’t really that shy on calling that contact other times.
But no matter how it’s called you would have to be extremely lucky to beat SC not shooting better than them from behind the arc. If Iowa hits 2 more threes and makes those fast break layups (3), the game comes down to the last possession.
It just stings to see that amazing first quarter and never see Caitlin and company match that flow for any other stretch other than that 2nd half 8-0 run. And that could have been extended had they got a time out on that affolter fast break dribble into triple team.

Iowa was down only 5 or 6, with the ball, late in the game. Martin drove into the lane and got called for a travel. I think Iowa may have only score one basket after that play.
Felt like they just ran out of gas at the end.

Agreed. They had very little margin for error. Iowa threaded the needle last year and in the process exposed South Carolina's flaws. Honestly that win may have hurt their chances this time around because South Carolina saw what they needed to fix
Yeah it sucks we lost. Too many mistakes by us. And their deep bench benefited them they could afford to foul, whether called or not.
Clark has been getting hammered by many lately. I’d like to see her take the 10 mil and play the 3 on 3 then say eff you to the WNBA and all their carpet munching players and play overseas. Let the WNBA viewership suck some more.
