I agree better defense with Baer, but then you don't have as much 3pt shooting. Jok needs to play better defense.

Gonna have to play some man. Not sure why we haven't? We we hoping to drain their tanks in the first half and clamp down in the second half? Are we that terrified of Yogi carving up our man d with penetration?
You have to be concerned about Iowa's intensity level in big games now. I think regardless of tonight's result, next week's game @ PSU will be the ultimate trap game....that's the game that really worries me. After that it's all going to be a grind with Wisky, @ OSU, IU and @ Mich....

Indianas last inbound play definitely should've been a 5 second call. Baer did nice a job
So Gesell goes up for dunk, Indiana guy doesn't even look at him and barely gets any Ball and takes gesell out potentially for season...that is not intentional or flagrant..

It's not "giving" 3 shots every possession so much as it is Indiana moving the ball well against an entire half of 2-3 zone. It's harder to rebound against missed long-range attempts when you're playing zone = easier offensive rebounds = put it right back up at the rim OR kick out for another wide-open attempt from 3.
Then you missed the Iowa State guy that did it last nite-- and fouled out on top of it. Abdul.

Exactly, the very idea of a "hard foul" makes it intentional then from my perspective. If you foul a guy harder than you need to, isn't that by its definition intentional? How does simply grabbing a guy's wrist make it intentional?
Late whistle, glad they called it. It was definitely a foul, but I thought they were going to swallow it.
