This is why MSU struggles in the tournament. They become so used to games being called like this during conference play, that once they get out of the conference and games don't get called like this, they don't know how to adjust.
Ward elbows everyone who runs by him, bs that a team as aggressive and in your face only has 3 fouls.
Don't worry guys, the calls will even out now that's its a 14 pt game deep into the second half.
Plenty of time for Iowa? stfu.,,,you know as well as we do the officials will now let Iowa back in it. Iowa gets close and the calls will tighten up.
Every team has droughts. We just tend to coincide our droughts when we give up 23 points in a 6 minute stretch.
Make no mistake. We deserve to get blown out with this effort in the second half.

With it being a double-digit margin they know they have so fouls to give on MSU.

Pretty much they beg for fans to show up only to have Fran predictably crap the bed.
It should be noted that the reason this is a 15 point game right now and not tied is free throw differential. That's it. It's a crying shame that this is what Big 10 basketball has become.

This is what pisses me off too....vs Wisky and MSU
Iowa "going cold" and the refs swallowing the whistle while MSU is on defense is a direct relationship. It's hard to score points when you are being slapped silly every time you touch the ball. I don't like to blame officials, but they are THE reason this game turned out this way. Iowa was on the verge of blowing MSU out of the arena until they were suddenly allowed to do whatever the hell they wanted on defense and Ward was allowed to push anyone in his way out of the lane when he got the ball.
