Love the way Siebrecht competes. Definitely brings some electricity. He's not afraid to go big. Wrestles through every position. Long and rangy. He'll give lots of guys fits this year.
I hate to sh*t on the kid, but how is he the backup for the best Hawkeye lightweight of all time? He’s really out of his element and somehow he’s competing for #2 ranked program in the country. Mind boggling
Because Spencer’s heir apparent was pressed into duty a year early last year and is redshirting this year instead.

Regardless of the coach speak Tom uses, Cobe is the man at 157 and he his very dangerous and a pleasant surprise. Dare I say 133 worries me more than 157 this year and that wasn't the case a month ago.

We get it. Our studs at 125 & 141 are injured.
And it's not (really) Harris's fault that he's far below the talent level needed to be competitive in D1.
And yet...
I don't think Harris has earned the right to be in the Iowa lineup, based on his skill level. I'd rather forfeit the weight, simply on principle. It's not the caliber of product that Iowa puts out.
I've said before that I wish Ybarra would get his ass down to 125, as he does have D1 skills and owes it to the program to contribute where he can.
Hopefully we see Spencer soon and it's a moot point.

The baffling part to me is that the Hawks continue to roll out someone this bad. I can’t think of another Hawk that’s been this bad in recent memory. (or perhaps ever). Perhaps you knew that Iowa would start someone this bad, and it hasn’t surprised you in the least, but every time I watch him wrestle, I’m dumbfounded and can’t wait till it’s over.
