PS is not a big game player. So many open 3 looks but nothing but bricks. Love the kid but u have to knock that shit down.

Starting lineup of Freeman, Krikke, sandfort, Dix, Perkins is solid. What are chances Dix keeps the starting job when PMAC gets healthy. That will be the test of Fran's Nepotism.
Getting doubled up on rebounds pretty much sunk Iowa this game.

Would have liked to see more attack the basket and less brick 3’s and jumpers in the second half of the second half.. just don’t quite have the personnel… Dam I can’t stand Purdue..
Yes, I think Payton/PMAC should play the SF position and 30 minutes Payton/10 minutes PMAC. I don't see that split happening because Fran likes to give his kid 25 minutes at least.
The would beat Iowa 90% of the time on Neutral court. Bad matchup because post defense/rebounding is Iowa's weak spot. Will be intersting if Purdue makes a run in NCAA. The transfer from S. Illinois is a big upgrade for their guard court.

That was a head scratcher. Purdue just about put the game away during that stretch.
Our PF Krikke had 2 rebounds and Purdue's 6'0 PG had 6 rebounds to go alon with Eddey 18 rebounds..we lost the game not securing the defensive rebounds........This was a winnable game...needed Freeman to be offset in PT from Eddey so we could have made hay when Eddey was on bench. More Braun/Dimbele minutes in Post early to keep Freeman out of foul trouble. Freeman needs some coaching to back off and not contest everything----refs will put him on bench.

Maybe. Do they have another 7'3" guy on the bench. I don't know where Painter keeps digging these guys up, but he always has one or two on the roster.....

Have said all along that Krikke is generally a plus on offense, and a detriment on D and on the glass. Thats why they need Freeman in the post to help with that, but he's always in Frans 2 foul jail against good teams....
No, but Payton needs to take better shots. He takes way too many off balance rushed 3 pointers.
Yeah, Freeman isn’t quite ready or big enough to guard Edey. Would have been better to put Krikke or Sandfort on him with Freeman giving help. We needed Big Jelly!
