Eierman

College wrestling is a grind!! Tons of respect for all the warriors gearing up for nationals especially the Hawkeyes.

I've seen enough smoke that l am guessing it's true.

This is 100% speculation… But I have a hunch that it was injured or partially torn vs Red and then he finished it off in his last match at B1Gs causing the yell/scream.

Yup, :28 seconds left in 2nd period, he lunges forward while red has his lower leg tight to the shoulder. The Warrior gimps back to center and keeps going
yep unfortunate. he’s put his leg in that position hundreds of times in matches. sucks.

On the plus side, he can dangle that leg out there without worrying about his acl going away anymore. (nevermind all the other muscles and ligaments that are now at a somewhat enhanced risk).

And hes got somebody to give him first hand advice about winning titles without ACLs

I thought he looked better vs D'Emilio post injury than during the dual.

These guys are absolute warriors Guys like JE and Kem are smart and savvy and I will not underestimate what they are capable of with these injuries.

An rib injury like Bull had is incredibly hard to tough out, shoulders and knees Ha, we have others and we have done it before.

I would truly love to know who leaks this stuff to Paddy Minnows. Someone has some very loose lips.

I cannot fathom why anyone would want to be in this ****tard's inner circle anyways.
I often wonder if it's not someone involved in covering and talking about wrestling from right here in Iowa, feeding him information. I have a weird hunch on who it is, but I guess who actually knows.

Who's your hunch? I'd love to know.
I wouldn't be surprised if it was and it's true, idk why that individual would put themselves in that situation. Common sense is becoming extinct.

You didn't complain when he was at Mizzou :)
Yes we did. He lost back-to-back semis to Yianni because he tried to out scramble him.

When Eierman transferred, I thought we would see a different cat. But he’s roughly the same. He got a little more disciplined in his positioning, but that’s faded this year. His match with Nick Lee this year was vintage Eierman. Try a big move and when it doesn’t work, try again.

Mizzou fans enjoyed watching Eierman. However, he’s never developed a go-to offensive shot in 7 years of college. Overall, he’s had a fantastic college career.

He’s injured and has been for most of the season. Overall he’s had a fantastic college career.

Yea...except for most every injury happened in a match...except Kemerer I believe.
That doesn’t necessarily mean that their training factored into their injuries.

That said, im sure Iowa is doing everything they can to limit injuries. Im also sure they will doing an off-season review. That’s pretty much required after a season with this many injuries. It’s been one for the ages.

I don't remember what year, but this whole injury thingy...."one for the ages".... seems like it happened just a few years ago also.

Deja Vu all over again like Yogi used to say.

It’s been a rough 8 years or so, but it seems like KY and Bull are the only ones not dealing with a continuous injury. That said, I’m sure they’re not 100% either. This has been an awful bad luck year.
I’m gonna soak up all the wrestling I can next week, this was a special group. There’s a few guys I’m really rooting hard for. We all know the names.

Not sure about a “Leak”. Eierman was not exactly hiding it. My HS coach was chatting with him at the hotel Sat night and he was completely open about it.

Weren’t you the boy who said he didn’t understand why O’Toole was highly regarded?
KO is great. I know it doesn't happen every year but it's always fun when Mizzou has a guy capable on the national level, you should feel good about that. I do think it's a shame we don't get to see him going up against the likes of Bull, Hamiti, Kharchla, etc. throughout the season but it's not his fault the Big 12 is so bad.
