Iowa was giving up allot of open looks at 3s in their winning streak the other teams just werent hitting.

Defense has regressed to pre Cook injury. Of course this is a much better team we are playing...on the road. But still
I think most HR guys could hit 10/17 if they were wide open. I mean there is no one around them at all. They could be 14-17 personally. Wide open looks
They did go man to man for the last couple of possessions. Purdue still hit a 3 on a switch. Ugh.
This team still has a long way to go on defense.
They got better at cutting off the dribble drive that was killing them earlier in the year, now they have to get better at basically everything else.

Except Iowa can't hit 10/17 of wide open 3s. I'm guessing Purdue hasn't yet and won't do again. Of course maybe we are the only ones giving 17 wide open 3s.
There may have been several calls that went against Iowa, but when you virtually no defense and have a coach who figure how or when to change defense or offense you get crap games like this. Jok looks awful too, not playing defense and can't hold ball either.
Question, why do all the Purdue guys look ready to shoot when they catch the ball but Iowa either fumbles the ball or looks around for some place to pass? That is so frustrating

Because our guys are struggling to deal with the defensive pressure while their guys arent phased by Iowas D.

And Edwards and that husky Dakota turd need to stop making shots period (thank you) and Swanigan needs to stop trying hard. You're welcome.

Have you never seen Cook or Pemsl play perimeter defense? Pemsl was also the only one who showed a semblance of aggression on offense.
They were last in the B1G and nationally too. I am sure they will be 13-16 from three in the 1st half next week.
We need to get the guys on the floor capable of playing good D and that's Moss & Dailey. Best 2 on the ball defenders we have
We are getting nothing from Jok. It's a wake up call for freshman who are star struck at their first B1G roadgame against a legit team.
I think we are seeing too much Uhl, but Fran has gotten some minutes for Kriener and all the freshman have gotten time in the first half.
It's ugly, but not unexpected if you knew Jok was going to stink it up.

Ehhh several of those fumbles ( on both sides of the ball) weren't because of the pressure.
This is what watching a program built on toughness and defense versus a program trying to build itself on pace and athleticism looks like.
There are times when Fran's teams look like they are creating a defensive identity (a good one) and magically, with the pressure then released from their offense, their offense thrives. And then they revert to trying to have an offensive identity.
Fran needs to hire a defensive guru type coach and give him a major role.

I don't know what to tell you. Iowa is losing because they can't play D. Has nothing to do with Refs or foul trouble
Multiple people have said it. Would we be winning if it wasn't for crappy officiating? No
However, the putrid officiating gives Iowa ZERO chance to even make it a game.
Time to start kicking the opposing teams scorers in the balls. Only way we're gonna stop them at this point. Dumb.

Fouls are tied at 7-7. Couple questionable calls but you get those every game.
