A technical....
Literally every call that guy had made has been against Iowa.
Legit call, when you hang on the rim and poke at the ball.... just make the dunk. Hhhh Freshman

This is what watching a program built on toughness and defense versus a program trying to build itself on pace and athleticism looks like.
There are times when Fran's teams look like they are creating a defensive identity (a good one) and magically, with the pressure then released from their offense, their offense thrives. And then they revert to trying to have an offensive identity.
Fran needs to hire a defensive guru type coach and give him a major role.
Fouls are tied at 7-7. Couple questionable calls but you get those every game.
I know, but so often it doesn't get called. Can't touch or reach for the ball while hanging on he rim. Automatic T.
2 min ago iowa was 5-5 and PU was 2-2 in FTsOf course they are. It is typical B1G officiating. Make sure a team is no threat to win, etc...
Then at the end of the half and/or when the game is over then even it up. Iowa didn't sniff the bonus in the 1st half. Purdue was in it for a while.
Moss might be a worse dunker than Eric May.
Can you show me where I said that Iowa was losing because of foul trouble or the refs? I'll save you the trouble. No you can't, because I never made that claim. When it was around a 20 point game, I said it would be closer if our bigs didn't have garbage fouls against them sending them to the bench, and if Swanigan/Haas hadn't been allowed to get away with murder underneath the basket. Those are factual statements. Do you understand now?I don't know what to tell you. Iowa is losing because they can't play D. Has nothing to do with Refs or foul trouble
Sorry. Must have gotten you confused with someone else that whines. Can you show me where I said that Iowa was losing because of foul trouble or the refs? I'll save you the trouble. Been saying this since year two of Fran. Again, there are stretches where they seem to galvanize around D, but they revert to trying to win with O. College on down you win by being able to execute with great consistency on the D end. Were you saying the same thing last year when we were sweeping them?
At least he knows basketball rules. I bet he never says "over the back".Is Kinnick 4 Prez Ted Valentine?
Is Kinnick 4 Prez Ted Valentine?
Can we keep it under 40?
I get Iowa is still getting beat badly. But, it's also hard to get a run going or get motivated to make a comeback when you can't even get this call correct.Missed goaltending on Swanigan.... who would have guessed that
THAT was a bad no call.Missed goaltending on Swanigan.... who would have guessed that
I meant lowest point total for a half. I'm pretty sure Alfraud coached a 12 - 15 pt half for us. Ugh. That clown went and got himself the best PG in college basketball and now he's ranked in the top 5. Vomit!Iowa was down 37-20 at half last year ... at Purdue. Won that game. Not saying that will happen tonight though.

This, in turn, takes pressure off of the O end and all of the sudden O becomes easier.
