OSU -7.5
O/U 157.5

Ohio St (11-8,3-5) is a hard team to figure out. One game they look great, the next they look terrible. They 5-5 in last ten games.

Iowa (13-7, 4-5) is fighting for their lives after a terrible stretch of basketball.

The hawks do not win on the road.

81-74 OSU

The team that plays better defense will win this game.

Uh Oh Omg GIF by ESPN

I'm not so pessimistic. Iowa actually has a huge coaching advantage in this one. Diebler sucks bad. The last time we had a coaching advantage like this, we beat IU by 25. We won't win this one by 25 but we can definitely squeak one out.

Rebounding and getting Harding to play well are the keys. Brock has a huge task in front of him tonite but he has to be able to score, be disruptive and get into the lane. OSU can be bad and they can be good, hopeful the Hawks figure out a way to take one on the road.

Harding can get into the lane but that's where things go bad.

If Brock would get a bit more Steve Nash to his game and dribble through the lane rather than getting stuck in the lane, he would be a lot more effective.

Agreed, but..

Harding is a flawed player, mainly due to physical limitations. He should be backup/change of pace PG and maybe by time he's senior a starter. Yes, more like Steve Nash is good thing, but Steve Nash is 6'3

I don't think Iowa can go on a winning streak in B1G until Fran gives up on his small ball lineup as his starting lineup. Traore looked pretty good at PF in upgrading our defense/rebounding. Mulvey backup minutes for Freeman.

The only way we win on road with Fran's current approach (bad defense/bad rebounding) is to shoot the lights from 3pt line out and hope the other team doesn't. Looking at Boxscore vs PSU, we gave up 50% shooting, even on boards, main differentiator was PSU bricked their 3's and Iowa was shooting 3's pretty well--that only gave us a 1 point win at home.

Thornton is a nightmarish matchup for Brock.
Big, strong and quick is not what Brock can handle on either end.
Must put drew on Thornton.
The other guard is a 40%+ 3 pt shooter.
If Brock must start keep him on the shooter.
Wish Fran would go with traore starting and have Brock go against backup pg off bench.

Heading into today's games, Ohio State is a consensus #11 seed in the NCAA tournament. Some consider the Buckeyes as one of the last 4 teams in right now. It's a must home win for them. I think Iowa keeps it somewhat close (within 9 or less) but I see OSU prevailing in this one.

If Fran matches Brock with Thorton, he really has lost it, if he ever had it coaching defense. I expect Thelwell to match up with Thorton. When possible, Harding should guard players who like to shoot 3s and aren't very good at driving. I don't know OSU well, but this is about as winnable an away game as Iowa is going to get in the B1G right now. After the last 3 away games, I am not optimistic.

Doesn't really matter who Fran assigns to Harding. If he's on the floor, they are going to take advantage of switches to pick on him. It's happened in every game, and it will continue to happen whenever he's on the floor.

Thornton is shooting 52.3% from field and 42% from arc.
Good #s.
Not in the games I have watched, although the last game was hitting his shots. Really does not change anything he will have a very good night tonight IMO.
