*****Iowa vs Tennessee Game Thread*****

Likely going to be a fitting end to the Brian era. We'll likely not get a TD and lose by 24. I honestly don't really have anymore interest in watching us get beat by shit heads from the SEC.

I'm just ready for this Brain nightmare to finally be over.
Unfortunately, Brian isn’t the source of the nightmare.

At least it’s an SEC team cooking us and not some nobody like Memphis.

How can this staff possibly justify trotting hill back out there in the 2nd half? We know that they will, but as a certain OC once said " what's the upside?"

I started to believe that back when I saw the graphic during a game that showed SP was having one of the worst seasons in history and Iowa was the only D1 team not to give a backup a single snap. I remember that same week Michigan gave game reps to 3 QBs. Even when we had comfortable wins against terrible teams... zero snaps for a backup.

It's hard to explain that. If good teams with successful QBs see the value in getting backups live reps, why else wouldn't a terrible O with an underperforming QB want to at least give a backup some reps? What does that team have to lose? Not wanting controversy to brew, not wanting to be questioned, seems to be a possible reason.

It's a weird phenomenon. All over at every level kids get pulled for bad play. Historically and statistically legendary bad play does not get you pulled from the QB position at Iowa.
You have to realize the the coaches know, it's not the QB on the field that is the problem. It's the coaches on the side lines.

Headed to
Defense is actually doing ok. Unfortunately 14-0 is just too much for this awful offense to make up. That interception us just… brutal.
Pacing at giving up 450 yards with equal time on the field. We are getting whipped vs the run. Not blaming the defense, just recognizing right now it’s their worst game of the year so far. Now if we create 3 turnovers that result in a total of 3 points then we can feel good again.

Bye Brian. As an OC you were the absolute worst in college football. And there is no doubt about it.

So far this season, Iowa is scoreless through 10 quarters against the only 3 teams they've played that we could call above average teams.

Think about that for a moment.
