Kris was playing well until he fouled out tooHad a small chance to cut it to single digits before half, but instead let it get completely out of hand. Good thing Keegan didn't see the floor again after getting that second foul.
Portal needed for Connor and Jbo to leavePortal help needed badly!
This. Fran is terrible. Time for him to go.Joe back in. Disrupts Purdue offense. Misses a shot. Back to the bench.
more sleep is always the answer when Iowa's down big at halftimeDo I just head to bed already or wait till 10 minutes of the second half is over and they are down 20. Could get a lot more sleep if I just go now
Might as well get the extra shut eye.Do I just head to bed already or wait till 10 minutes of the second half is over and they are down 20. Could get a lot more sleep if I just go now
Ulis can't shoot.Ulis had a bit of a rough half. His energy is good but need more.
Lol. 10 years of eligiblePortal needed for Connor and Jbo to leave
Agree, but they simply aren't winning if the two Murrays are sitting major minutes in the game. They might pick up a third foul in the first half, but your only chance of staying within shouting distance is to play your best players. Fran voluntarily fouled them out after they got 2 fouls. It's idiotic. It sucks but you ain’t winning any game where you give up 48 points in a half. Defense was nonexistent and forced zero turnovers. Murray’s could’ve helped, but Purdue was still getting open looks with them in. Fran’s decision to go to Ogundele late looms kind of large too. This simply isn’t a Rebraca game
Patience and loyalty - this is Iowa, baby.Yeah, we need a new coach
Pmac has been alright on offense though but yea… I don’t know how he doesn’t see it. It does NOT matter if you avoid the 3rd foul if you let the lead get beyond comeback.Down 15 and large part coaching. Fran needs to trust his super start and play him with 2 fouls. These lineup combinations are just head scratching. No rebraca for 12 min. JoeT sits for 10. But don't worry a McCaffery has been in there all game with PMac and Jbo leading the way for minutes played.
Agree but play AU and JT together. Need their defense and attack and FFS Connor go play baseball. In a month the baseball team will be heading south so do yourself a favor and get yourself ready for baseball season!JBo should not play one minute in this game. Not a single one. Guards are too fast for him. Play Sandfort if you need a shooter.
They are doing none of the things they did over at Purdue, doubling the post, getting in scramble situations, etc. I don't get it at all.I’ve seen some REALLY bad defense from Iowa over the last 12 years but that might take the cake.
Iowa lets their two best shooters fire WIDE effing open and let their bigs consistently get it 4 feet from the hoop.. Really a piss poor showing to this point tonight.
Agreed. But you have to play your best lineup and have to make this a game at home.Purdue is a final 4 level team. Get a grip.
It’s kinda sad - I feel bad for him though I shouldn’t.Does Josh o sit on a recliner during practice. The guy has been out there 4 minutes and he looks like he just sprinted his 6th 400m dash

Any reason we can't ever be? Ohh, coaching.Purdue is a final 4 level team. Get a grip.
No problem with that from Fran but he's wildly inconsistent with this. Connor, Patrick and JBo can take all the wild shots they want and never sit for them.Joe back in. Disrupts Purdue offense. Misses a shot. Back to the bench.
Ulis hasn't played very well. Not sure why they didn't have the ball in Joe T's hands.someone care to tell me the finer points on what the crap happened on the last possession? The're 6.7 seconds left on the clock and you pass it to a guy who's standing 3/4ths court away from the basket?
Wish I could fall asleep at 9. Wowmore sleep is always the answer when Iowa's down big at halftime
Just posted the same. It's a joke playing Jbo or Connor. Put the most athletic guards we have out there. Any duo of Joe, Ulis, Perkins and Sandfort are better than any duo that includes Jbo or Connor.I just started watching so I might have missed something? I don’t understand why AU and JT aren’t on the court together. I don’t get it and I believe the last time I saw it was at Purdue and they created complete chaos to get Iowa back in that game. If I’m nuts just tell me but it’s bewildering to me!
He over does it in warmups.Does Josh o sit on a recliner during practice. The guy has been out there 4 minutes and he looks like he just sprinted his 6th 400m dash
I'd take that betPurdue is a final 4 level team. Get a grip.
Thass jus good coachin!Had a small chance to cut it to single digits before half, but instead let it get completely out of hand. Good thing Keegan didn't see the floor again after getting that second foul.
I don’t disagree. I’d like to see Sandfort log major minutes in the second half at Connor’s expense. He’s gotten some good looks and has at least provided some scoring. I like his defensive ability as well and decisively passes the ball versus holding it like Connor does. Bottom line is we need to up the defensive pressure drastically and take the ball to the rim on offense. Make Purdue rim defenders make a play or foul. We get into zones where we settle for too many jumpers and aren’t a good shooting teamAgree, but they simply aren't winning if the two Murrays are sitting major minutes in the game. And allowing the opposing center to just stand in the lane defending one of Iowa's guards is just sad. What the hell? In no other situation would this be permitted. This is like watching playing time allocated in a youth league game where the coach's kid gets to play a lot no matter what.
