I saw the better replay angle. Freak the refs. Can't screen with your leg out like that, planted or not.

okay, I didn't
I wish she would have shot faked and taken one dribble to shoot. Better opportunity to score or get fouled.I felt O'Grady should have passed the ball to Stuelke down low one-on-one for a layup attempt.
Take your pick lol.Is she biased or just blind?
Take your pick lol.
She ran tight to the screen. Don't thing the screener stuck her behind out, but Lucy could have gone under that screen since it was so tight.I try to error on the side of people being human, but there has to be some sort of a process in the last two minutes in particular for a conclusive review. Lucy doesn’t fall unless she’s tripped, and she doesn’t trip if the girl doesn’t have her leg 6 inches outside the frame and moving into her.
Easy peasy…

Just no.Fran should be taken off the hot seat and replaced my Jan, imo.
Thoughts?![]()
But in this case she might not have gotten the foul. (Unless the blind ref blew the whistle).Meh…that’s what the men do…which is why their defense sucks 😂
i was trying to type hope those clowns AREN'T coming here to Indy for WBB B1G tourney. Lousy refs!I hope they get kidnapped and held in a cellar in Cuba for 20 ****ing years! I don’t have near the vitriol for men’s teams or even the football teams that I do for these ****ing women’s teams….
They’re petty, they’re catty and they’re just flat shits, Ohio State, Michigan State, UCLA, Nebraska, you could put their whole ****ing programs in a ship in the middle of the ocean, sink it to the bottom of the sea
ummm, no. The ball handler actually did a terrible job setting up the screen. she left way too much space. There was plenty of room for the defender to go through. Thats why the screener had to extend out.She ran tight to the screen. Don't thing the screener stuck her behind out, but Lucy could have gone under that screen since it was so tight.
Just no.
OT vs OSU, 2 point loss to UCLA, beat USC. News flash, Caitlin, Gabbie, and Kate are not walking back through the door. We knew this would be a rebuild year. With this year’s freshman class and next year’s recruits plus if we get another one or two 2026 recruits besides Ms Deal the Iowa women will be fine. Is Jan making mistakes. Yes, but honestly so did John Wooden and Bob Knight. These girls give effort and heart. Can everyone involved get better? Obviously, but let’s get some perspective please on expectations.
Sometimes it is hard to tell. My mistake if I misunderstood himFWIW…he was just having fun
How's about next time we just ice the screen lol.ummm, no. The ball handler actually did a terrible job setting up the screen. she left way too much space. There was plenty of room for the defender to go through. Thats why the screener had to extend out.
It should have been an offensive foul, and it would have completely been the ball handler's fault. It's a fundamental part of teaching the screen.
look closer and watch the last step with the right leg by the screener, it was blatant. That was not a hard call at all, and that ref was about 15 feet away looking right at it.
They won't say anything publicly of course, but there will be some discussions with that ref from someone in a supervisory position......because she blew that one big time.
Some bot is laughing.

I can believe that, I can. But it still seems like they always just associate with that sterotype as well....Bc white people immediately see the tan, hair color, eye color, if half Asian the eyes and immediately think of them as non-white. It’s not the half mixed raced person who doesn’t see themselves as half white.

Said the same thing to the wife during. KF took some really bad shots, and honestly Hannah was overwhelmed. Thought AOG handled her business. Still can't comprehend our more athletic 6'4" girl sitting on the bench the whole game, but hey, I'm not coaching the team...Heard Jan's post-game interview on WHO radio. She was steaming mad at the shot selection in the 3rd quarter when we were up big and pissed it away. She didn't name names, but Feurbach took three terrible shots in a row and Jan pulled her out and was yelling at her pointing fingers at her head.
Her point was, we had the opportunity to bury them and instead took a series of horrible shots.

Pretty obvious moving screen, but Iowa got the one that really counted last spring when Aaliyah Edwards stepped into Gabbie.
Olson fouled her no doubt. However that right leg of the screener that tripped her could’ve been called a foul.

I edited my post above after watching a different angle of the play lol. It WAS a foul. I didn't see it in real time unfortunately.SHOULD have been called. Absolutely a trip. Her leg was a good 1.5 feet outside her body. Doing the damn splits with her screen

Lucy stole the ball and shot it up on the left side with her right hand, and missed it. I wonder if players are taught to shoot a layup with the hand on the side of the basket they're on. I guess not.
