Krikke is overmatched athletically. Fran needs to adjust and try to get someone else going offensively. Krikke as first option isn't going to work tonight.

I'm at kids games but reading this seems like the worst of all time performance. Down 11 any hope for 2nd half?

We have been bullied around, shooting terrible (minus Sandfort), not defending, not rebounding.

It was worse, but Iowa started clawing back. They had nearly a seven minute dry spell, so it will be hard to do worse in the second.
He couldn't. He was given the ball with less than 2. It was a mistake to not drive and see if you could get to the line before the end of the half.

Bench’em all..,, seriously though has a rule of thumb statistically things usually regress to the mean and even as bad as our defenses is, Indiana surely won’t shoot 59% in the second half and we surely won’t shoot 27% so who knows maybe we have a chance….

It’s funny because ps lazy passes piss me off more than any negative. That half court pass into traffic would have had me bob knighting on the side line

Sometimes when I think we stink I just think back to that time Iowa beat Grand Canyon University in the tournament. Those were the day.
Its hard enough to convince the Fran Fan club on this board that Fran doesn't favor his boys. I would not expect AD to get involved. I think Fran has convinced himself his boys are fantastic so in his own mind, he's not showing favortism.
PMAC just doesn't have a position. Way too slow and lacks the 3ball shooting to be SF...too soft to guard anyone in paint and papa let him choose to only be a perimeter only guy.
I used to walk in frozen weather to go to men's games as an undergrad many centuries back. I've broken 2 vcrs as a teen watching the Hawks lose. Now it's like meh. I mostly watch Hawk games randomly on TV. Program needs an enema sadly.
Not worst of all time but it was really bad.
Our bigs can't do anything. Indiana has to have 4 or 5 blocks. Then on the flip side we can't defend them at all in the paint. We look afraid to actually drive.
Indiana had zero threes against Illinois and, like clock work, hit a ton against us.
Nobody can score outside of Sandfort who has 14. Dix and Perk have 5 each. There's 24 of our 28. No flow on offense with little ball movement, lots of dribbling and bad shots under 5 seconds on the shot clock.
11 is not so bad....but we're lucky to be within 11.
Krikke and PMAC missing a bunch of shots. Indiana has blocked 5 shots and taken away almost all Iowa's paint points. Two random guys going off from 3pt line for Indiana. Iowa has a shot to pull it out but they have to figure out how to deal with Indiana's size on both offense and defense.

What a wasted roster spot with Mulvey, need another big in the worst way and all the guy does is fill out the bench
Even bad shooting teams can shoot well when they are in rhythm and comfortable. There have not been a lot of contested shots.
