I wouldn’t go that far. He just needs to be put in a position to succeed, instead of feeling the need to carry the team / play hero ball.

Oklahoma not overly impressive. Iowa just sux.
Glad he’s giving the Freshmen good minutes. Need to just chalk this year up as a growing season. I wouldn’t be disappointed if PMac and Perkins had their minutes greatly reduced.
Perkins is not a point guard. Harding is.
This is why my appetite for watching games isn't too strong this year. I liked Fran a lot better before his boys joined the team.
Frankly, I'm sick of football, basketball and wrestling being a family business. I hope BG continues to take steps to correct that.
This type of play is not going to cut it…they are just not good. Going to finish bottom half.

I've seen enough holiday basketball during this week to know that Iowa is lacking massive athleticism especially at the guard position, but then it could pertain to every position on the Hawks. Fran just doesn't get and hasn't forever. The freshman are Iowa's only hope..

Is also an average 3 point shooter at best, so I don't know exactly how he fits in the offense. He can get hot with that mid-range jumper sometimes, but as others have pointed out, he's pretty inconsistent.

Perkins completely lost on defense. Two guys trap and he runs so close to them he can’t defend anyone. He is in no man’s land 90% of the time. The freshman don’t have this problem.
Carver is going to be empty this winter , trying to get fan;s to buy into this team will be hard, first time with no superstar in a while also with no Garza or Murrays.
After their @Moral victory in Omaha, the Hawks got full of themselves and must not have practiced.

Not a good game for payton statistically, but 4 for 9 vs 1 for 7 is a lot better than Pmac and
Payton has 2X the rebounds.
PMAC at 6'9 should be a PF, but he plays SF because he is too soft to rebound and defend his natural postion. Payton is better, so Fran moves Payton to PF to insure his boy starts at small forward. Then Fran tells the public he gives no prefernce to his kids. That is B.S.
Looked like they ate the Thanksgiving dinner right before the game. Slow, lazy, and short on 90% of their jumpers.
If we are going 10 deep, you'd think we could have guys playing with their hair on fire on defense. But who cares about defense
