I agree. And that’s why I don’t like Fran’s lineups and substitution patterns. You can’t live off just outscoring people and hoisting threes all game. When you’re playing good competition, you have to have guys on the floor who are hungry to get stops. Good defense often generates momentum that jumpstarts your offense when you go stagnant. When you’re constantly pulling the basketball out of the net, it’s hard to get momentum back, and that’s why you see a lot of Iowa teams under Fran be on the wrong side of lopsided runs.
