NCAA Finals Thread

Not sure why I ever read this board anymore, especially around Nationals. So many idiots saying so many absurdly ridiculous things. It’s a little like watching a train wreck — you can’t look away. If this board actually had a moderator, that crap would get deleted and those fools would get banned. But we know that’s a pipe dream and major reason that so many actual fans have quit posting here.

I’ve seen morans posting insane insults about our coaches that have no basis in reality. These fools obviously have no clue about the kinds of people our coaches are. They’ll continue to act like tough guys behind their anonymous screen names and I’m sure they’ll keep up with the ridiculous insults about our coaches. Sick and twisted, but inevitable, and on a board that isn’t moderated this bunk can’t be stopped.

Just figured I’d point out what most people with an IQ over 20 already realize — that this stuff is complete garbage and that these idiots should be ignored. Just as they have the ability to post this crap, rational fans have the right to point out how worthless their posts are.

For wrestling fans who actually want to have civil, interesting, substantive discussions using actual names (nowhere for trolls to hide behind anonymous screen names) in a forum that’s actually moderated, you may have that option in the near future. Stay tuned.

Matt Brown, Cassar, Dean

3 recruits not in the top 50 which Cael coached to a title
Dean is a Rob Koll product, I saw no real difference in him this year. Maybe his scrambling improved, definitely not his offense. I'd say he would have the same individual result if he was still at Cornell.

Lots of righteousness from some Hawk fans... pure comedy to see on a message board!!!

Exactly. Most Hawk fans liked Cenzo. His matches with Marinelli were awesome. Nickal was a douchbag. Nolf seemed like a likable guy as well. Lee and Brooks seem like good guys too
Bo was sitting near me at National Duals in Niceville. He was very gracious and friendly to the people that wanted to interact with him including me and fans from all schools.
He was very obnoxious yelling for the PSU wrestlers ,which is understandable. Lol

The problem is that they are in better physical shape and mentally stronger than us, so they will just win in other ways.
This. Warner needs to a) get in better shape or b) get to his offense early in matches. He has the offense. However, he lacks the ability to finish late in matches when his tank is out of gas. It’s all in conditioning, be it mental or physical. Likely, both.

We all make mistakes & poor decisions when fatigued.

no... we have to change the way we wrestle period.... PSU is the biggest rival at the moment...but the blue print is out on how to beat Iowa. Hang back and let them come to you. eventually they will give you an opening to counter. Look at this tournament... hell look at last year. 2021 and the team title, is the exception to the previous decade.
As much as I hate to say it, this is spot on…

Dean was at Cornell!! Runner up at that. Cassar was a 4 year back granted multiple extra years. Brown did missions!! Extra two tree years. Grand pa!!
Cassar won before his additional year which he ended up not even using due to injury, get your facts straight.

They weren’t his recruits is what I’m saying. They were sutherlands!!!
Altons committed to Sanderson right after he was hired, get your facts straight.

with that being said cassar was a back up those year. Injuries did help him with timing. You can have the Alton’s under Cael. Only one of them developed into an aa

Cassar was a back up for 4 years. Continued injuries and extras years helped him!!!
Not sure what extra years helped him get to the top. He won the title in 2019 in his fifth year. He didn’t wrestle at all in 2016 or 2017. True he was 15-2 in 2018 as a coin-flip backup to Rasheed.
