How brilliantly disastrous has the BF hire been? It will absolutely be the demise of Iowa fans opinion of the KF era. He’s legacy is getting crushed every week. I wonder what he’s thinking as this crumbles.
Petras actually looked pretty solid for the first time in years …right before the coaches special needs son called the reverse that stopped the drive and pushed us out of FG range.
Our offense is just one screw up after another. Between the suspect play calling, the awful OL, the most inconsistent QB in the FBS, and stupid penalties, something goes wrong on pretty much every drive. So many chances to screw things up, and they rarely disappoint.

Agreed. Minus 10 yards rushing is all you need to know.
In fairness it's KFs decision to trot Petras out all season.

How did you like "that's my QB"'S effort on that screen? Any middle-school QB could have made that play.
Disagree, he has had time, with the exception of the safety blitz.
KF will not fire his son even if it means the national embarrassment of Iowa. So what are some other options?

Remember when Kirk said even his sister can see certain players were good? Perhaps he should ask her for an opinion on Brian's play calling. Maybe Kirk would listen.

Yep his worst play of night. Majority of time he's been fine. We cannot run the ball we have like 2 yards rushing. Red alert

Big final drive for the offense there. As they look for the upset over Tory Taylor, they only trail 124-116 at the break.
It’s only Petras’ fault like 1/4 of the time. Another 1/4 is the OL not blocking somebody or committing penalties. Another 1/4 is the receivers dropping passes, and the last 1/4 is Brian Ferentz playing “Create a Play” every time we get into scoring range.
The good news is that it all adds up to 1 massive cluster
Most teams would fire their offensive coaches at halftime but iowa will prob give them a raise
